Wines, spirits, coffee and tea were also available. The lounge snack area had a good assortment of soft drinks. The women's restroom had one stall that was out of order, so only two working stalls, instead of the usual three. There's no shower room, and the bathroom was basic but clean enough. There were slips of paper with the WiFi password during our morning visit, WiFi worked well. The Alitalia Lounge is one large room, and to accommodate the number of guests, there seemed to be an overabundance of furniture that made it feel cramped. The Lufthansa lounges in Terminal 1 are closed until further notice: “Due to the decline in demand caused by the spread of the coronavirus/COVID-19, the Lufthansa lounge in JFK will be temporarily closed.” Presumably when the Lufthansa JFK lounges reopen JAL passengers will again use those lounges instead of the Alitalia lounge.
